Without a doubt, Canada is one of the most beautiful and pristine countries in the world. From the Atlantic to the Prairies, all the way west to the Pacific ocean, there are countless lakes, valleys, and breathtaking mountains spread across ten provinces and three territories. In fact, Canada is the second largest country (by area) in the world!
With that being said, getting around can be a bit of a challenge with just under 10 million square kilometers to cover. If one is travelling far, it is best to fly airport to airport, rather than traverse the terrain in a vehicle. Time is usually a prohibitive factor is getting from point A to point B by land in the Great White North.
Once at an airport, many people hire a limousine service to drive them to their next destination. The purpose in hiring a limo rather than a cab is two-fold. The first reason, quite simply, is for the comfort factor. Taxis can be very dirty, loud, and are prone to bumpy rides. Nothing beats a limousine if you're looking for a pleasant and quiet trip to your destination. The second reason is that oftentimes it's easier to hire a limo than a cab. Limos are often more available and ready to go than a taxi and there's less of chance that you'll have to wait in line for one.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, as most visitors to Canada are, chances are that you'll have some hiking or sporting equipment with you on your adventures. Unfortunately, not all rental cars or cabs can or will accommodate bags of golf clubs, backpacking gear, or fishing rods and tackle. When you plan your trip, be sure to check and see who offers a large enough vehicle for you to get around the country with your equipment.
There is obviously much to see when you travel in Canada and it is best viewed when you are not the driver! Many people hire tour companies or guides to drive them to 'must see' destinations and are free to enjoy the scenery along the way. The cost of tours and guide services can be prohibitive and believe it or not, using a limousine service is often a less expensive way to travel.
The additional bonus is that a hired limo driver will stop as frequently as you request, and will even act as a photographer to get memorable shots of you in front of the majestic expanses of the Rocky Mountains and many historical sites!
The bottom line is, check into hiring a limousine next time you're travelling in Canada and you might be surprised how affordable and more enjoyable a limo can make your next all-inclusive trip, vacation, or romantic weekend getaway.
